Default Hungry hepatus tang...

I have a large hepatus tang which loves snacking
on the algal film I scrape from the front/side glass.

Is it unique to my fish or your tangs do the same ?
Maybe mine is extremelly hungry? But its belly is round...

Blue tangs are graziers meaning they eat all the time.. You should put some
seaweed in the tank, clamp it to a rock or something that allows it to free
float this will allow him to eat it. Be sure to change it everyday. They
will also eat your algae if there is any on the glass. They also like Brine
shrimp. I buy the frozen kind, defrost it prior to feeding,, works well in
conjunction with the seaweed. Good luck...

Yes it's normal. Damsels, and other fish like it too. It's
nice and soft and easy to eat. It's like ice cream :-)

My maroon clowns do not eat ANY green food I put for him.
They seem to be strictly carnivorous...

I have heard other clownfish eat algae/seaweeds but
mine dont. They present a total lack of interest for algae.
