Default Marine Supplements

What is in lime water? Is it a periodic additive? Should I use it alone
or with some of the other 675 additives I now use? Thanks, Wayne....

I read this firum at least twice a day and find it to be very
helpful......but there is one topic I have yet to see addressed: the use of
SUPPLEMENTS.

About 18 months ago I purchased a fully stocked 24 Nano which I later
changed to a 40 reef. I also have a 72 FOWLR. When I bought the nano I
was given a large quantity of various supplements which I use on a fairly
regular basis (about weekly) in the reef tank. However, I've begun to
wonder if there are simply too many (although the tank is doing great).
I've also begun to use all of them at one time rather than dosing on a
rotating daily basis. The ones I use a

All in One (Salifert)
Coraline Aminoacids (Salifert)
Coral Grower (Salifert)
Natural Iodine (Salifert) (every 2-3 weeks)
Liquid Calcium (Kent Marine)
Trace Hard (Salifert)
Trace Soft (Salifert)
Iron (Kent Marine)
Coral Vite (Kent Marine)
Coralline Aminoacids (Salifert)
Strontium & Molybdenum (Kent Marine)

I do 20% water changes about every two weeks (Instant Ocean w/ RO water).
The reef is doing very well and has a mix of hard & soft corals, dusters,
tube aneomones, crabs and snails. I have live rock, live sand, a refugium
and a skimmer.

Am I wasting my money by using all of these and is there a simpler
regimine that I should use? Also, is there any need to use any of them in
the FOWLR tank?

Thanks for the help.....

Steve

Default Marine Supplements

It's calcium hydroxide (aka kalk)It is mixed with water,
allowed to settle, and the clear liquid is dripped slowly
in a high flow area at a rate sufficient to keep up with
evaporation.
