It has been a week or so since the fish came home.
I haven't had time to do the anal-retentive measuring for ammonia and nitrites every day so I've hammered the ammonia back with AmQuel and there should be plenty of salt in there to help with the brown blood. The media from an existing cycled tank should help accelerate things, but... Anyhow, I've still got four happy goldfish. They book quite nicely and appear to like to play in the bubbles. If I didn't know better I'd say they've grown 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch in the past week. (Impossible, they haven't had that much food, but they certainly APPEAR bigger.) Haven't had the heart to ask the party hostess how many have already died. And no, I haven't spoken to the hostess yet. It will be about time the tanks cycle that I'll be able to be civil... Thanks, -Donald |
