dwarf puffers diet

any suggestions on what they'll eat besides frozen bloodworms?

i just got mine and i'd like to expand his diet, even if only a little
bit...

so far he doesn't seem interested in anything else.

We feed outs hermit crab pellets, betta pellets, shrimp pellets,
cichlid pellets, a ghost shrimp on occassion, brine shrimp. Not much
that we have not tried that they wil not eat. Only reason we feed it a
bit of hermit food pellets is to get rid of it, not as a sole source
of food, by any means, but just as a change every now and then. Oh and
they also like krill and mysid shrimp as well...

snails!!!
lots and lots of snails
crab and prawn are also favourites
but snails are the go
find someone with lots of problem ones
cone snails may need a little pre-crush before it can dine on them!

Convert that FW puffer to sal****er and its like a totally different
fish. Colors are more bold and pronounced and there is all kinds of
snails and other foods to feed them. I have converted figure 8 as well
the green leopard puffers to sea water and they do just fine.

The Malaysian trumpet snails supposedly have
shells that are too hard for dwarf puffers and
probably the juvenile stage of the larger puffers.
Pond snails are a favorite, as are the common
Ramshorn snails.

There are a couple of Puffer sites. Here's one

I just crush the cone snails with a pair stainless steel pliers before I
chuck them in.
Ramshorn are the go.
I have also found a mix of prawn, garden snail and gelatin has made an ok
gellfood.
For added giggles fill empty snail shell with the blend
get the air out and ya have
a nice sunken meal
