Default Ruby Reef's "Kick Ich"

I have a bottle of this stuff on my desk, and I'm going on vacation
tomorrow for a week. I can't setup the hospital tanks by tomorrow and
treat w/ copper because I can't locate a copper test and I'm not sure
how chemistry oriented my house keeper is.

I googled around and it seems to have mixed results. Some claim
success, but these are the same people that claim that Ich is always in
the tank and "there's nothing you can do about it", so I have to be
suspicious of what qualifies as "success". Others are reporting fish
deaths and algae blooms after treatment.

I'm leaning towards returning the bottle for a $20 refund.

Any thoughts?

I think that makes it a bad time for a vacation. Kick Ich needs to be
added everyday. It's probably the best option you have given the
circumstances tho. I've used it. I did not have fish deaths afterward,
did not have an algae bloom.

once again, YMMV.

And thanks for elevating me to the blessed plateau of counting as "some
people". I appreciate it.

Apologies. I spent an hour on google before writing that one.

I did see your post under "Marine Itch". I had already bought Kick-Ich,
but appreciate your comments.

I'll think about Kick-Ich. I think the fish moved through the worst of
this cycle of Ich, so maybe I'll just leave it behind in case it
resurfaces in a fish-death threatening way.

I had decent luck with some stuff called "stop parasite" that I got off
of marine depot. (but this was for BLACK ich that I used it, not white ich)

First thing you need to do is figure out what kinda ich ya have - is it
crypto or oodinium? (both are "white spots") - search google for pics
of each - the difference is best seen, not described.

If you do not already have a cleaner shrimp, i'd would recommend getting
one.
