Default Convict Gestation

Not sure if you call it gestation in fish, but my pair of Convicts have laid
eggs on the side of my tank today and was wondering what to expect as far as
length of time and how to I catch the little ones to put them in a nursery?

Why remove the convict fry? You'd miss the parenting of these fish which is
amazing to watch. They'll take care of the little ones. It's really neato!

PS-I cant remember how long it took from the time the eggs were laid to the
time the fry were visible. Sorry

Depends on water temperature. Ballpark IIRC, is 2 to 3 days for eggs to
hatch and another 2 to 3 days for wigglers to be free-swimming. If you
can, leave the parents to do their work. Turning down the turbulence in
the tank just before they are free-swimming, will help them to parade the
fry around
