I work in a warehouse with over 200 individual tanks. The prevention of
the passage of pathogens from tank to tank is paramount. Until now we have been using concentrated QuickCure (formaldehyde and malachite green) dips to that end, but that chemical is now illegal to sell here. I'm considering switching to copper and methylene blue, but have yet to find a good bulk source of the later. Anyone out there in a similar situation? What do you use to sanitize your equipment (e.g. nets, etc.) as you move tank to tank? |

What do you use to sanitize your equipment (e.g. nets, etc.) as you move tank to tank? We have used copper for equipment and occasionally methylene blue as an equipment dip. We mostly have used methylene blue as a dip (better, a bath) for the fish in a double dose for 30 minute treatment for disease or a 24- 48 hour regular dose bare hospital tank quarantine for new fish or suspect fish. There are many bulk copper solutions, I believe Copper Safe comes in bulk,. as for Methylene Blue, I have and still use Kordons Methylene Blue which does not come in bulk (at least to my knowledge). I did a search for Copper and found this site with bulk copper: http://www.magicislepets.com/pages/s...edications.htm Carl |

But I found 'net san' to be a good product. Of course a trip to the pool shop will yeild many cheap chemicals that can be used Wouldn't mind trying steam some day tho. Always wondered how well it would work. "dc" wrote in message ... I work in a warehouse with over 200 individual tanks. The prevention of the passage of pathogens from tank to tank is paramount.
