Well....I still ask you not to be too hasty.....yes, I have inside
information that I cannot share right now......but it is to be hoped
that
the proposal put forward to sort this mess will be acceptable to
all.....I
am probably breaking confidence to tell you that Derek is the first to
come
forward and accept it - one other has come forward in support of it
(no
names) - I am very confident that my proposed solution will get the
backing
of the majority of the moderation team. There are three yes votes and
5
still left to come in - of the 5 I am certain of a positive vote from
at
least 4 which carries it regardless, but for now I have to wait for
the
rest of the votes to come in.....I cannot quote his message without
his
consent in the same way that I cannot quote anything you tell me (but
I will
probably request his consent) - once a majority vote of the moderation
team
comes in then I will give you the full details.....I hope that you
find them
acceptable - if not, then sleep on them and reflect.....

You do yourself down in thinking that you do not matter - one thing
that
this has proved is that you do matter and I don't believe I break any
confidences in saying this.....By saying you are finished with the
group is
an admission of defeat.....nah, don't do this.....In fact, what has
happened
really does matter.....and the reason is that it sets a precedent for
the
group and needs to be handled correctly or the group stands no
chance.....You have a right to post on the group and you need to
remember
this......and stand up for your rights to do so.....

Hmmmmm......Derek.....don't think for an instant he has come out of
this
smelling of roses.....nor has the moderator that approved the post
(and no
I'm not telling you who it was - sufficient that the rest of us
know)......but you do need to trust those of us with integrity to
ensure
that the right thing is done by all.....I know that you are thinking
that
Derek is the one to apologise (and I am keeping my own counsel on my
opinion
on this) but the fact that others have done so shows the degree of
regret of
the team as a whole.....Derek is one person not the whole team......I
have
my own opinions but it is not quite that simple......check the charter
on
dealing with "rogue moderators"......

As for my concern - it doesn't just involve you.....it involves the
whole
ethos and principle of rec.ponds.moderated and it is something that
needs to
be dealt with.....my hope is that we can deal with it to the
satisfaction of
all......I also hope that you will not admit defeat.....you are a
fighter
and need to fight for what you believe in as much as I do.....I'm
committed
to this fight and hope that you are as well......

So is it the manner in which one mod can persuade another mod to get
in that mods back pocket just like congressmen and senators play games
wth the laws they play games with the foks that have a legitimate
gripe..........Hey I have a legit gripe and they all said I do, yet
not a darn one has the balls to do anyhtng about it as no one wants to
step on the rogue modertaors toes or they figure if its kicked around
long enough the person with the grip will forget it and go away...Its
**** like this that happens when one promises the moon and can't
deliver, and the others could care less as they are in "control" and
immune from any replys aimed at them.......And it does not help to
play on both sides of te fence either.......RPM yea right totally
lacking in moderaton integrity and morales.........nothing but a
renegage rogue bunch of mods in a power struggle in their own little
world. And they uysed trolls as an excuse to make the moderated group
and made Caroll Gulley and a few others the bame for it needing to
happen...........Yea read it on the google group carol you were the
main blame, not jabbers, not me.......but YOU! Ever wonder why jabs
were only poked at you by a certain few where I did the same thing
and was ignored but had excuses made for my actions? You comprehend
this all yet?
