Default Solar Pump

Its an alright pump however it does not do any good when its cloudy or
at night and thats when a pond is in need of oxygenated water the
most. Thats the big problem however with any solar powered pump....I
have one I played wth that I got given to me same exact model and
brand as yu listed, and it provides about 65 gph of water not the
spec'd 85 or so gph. Its not overly powerfull but is adequate for a
small water feature like a half barrel etc......or a fountain in a
bird bath... I wuld not rely on it to power a filter etc in a pond
with fish by any means unless you have an alternate method of
oxygenating the water if needed....

For what they cost yu can buy a nice Pondmaster pump if yu have access
to AC line voltage, and that would be a much better deal overall....To
really make a solar pump decent yu need a bank of batteries and have
it run 24/7 for best results. However if yuor off the grid and the
water feature is out of the beaten path then I guess solar anythng is
still better than nothing. What are you planning on using it in?

Hi.
Anyone using a solar pond pump, in particular, this one: Sunjet 380.
Thanks for any feedback.
