Yes.
I bought a cambodian pastel, long finned female.
She's a white bodied fish with shades of red and purple.
A lovely female who's sitting in QT next to black with some metallic
blue, CT male.
He's been trying to impress her, but she's trying her best not to
notice.
However, at feeding time she turns into a beast. She eats up her blood
worms and then tries her best to snatch up any that go floating bye in
the male's tank.

= She sounds good and healthy. Will you be breeding them?

The long finned females that I have been finding at the Petsmarts stay
lovely all their lives.
When they reach about 4 or 5 their fins are quite long.
I love when I have several LF'd females of different colors. The
extended reds, royal blues, pastel cambodians, marbles, oh my! = O
It's so pretty.

= I'm sure the store where you get yours also gets them from the same place
my local store gets them from. I couldn't believe PetSupermarket was asking
$12.99 for them! The ones at PetsMart were much nicer for half that price.
They also had some beautiful blues.... females just as nice.

Lighting in these tanks can make a huge difference. I love the
Colormax bulbs from Corallife. They're not cheap and not many shops
carry them anymore because of the cheaper bulbs.
I've tried another brands, but nothing makes those particular colors
pop like the Colormax bulbs do.
I while back I had to use some other brand (forgot the name) while
trying to find a place locally who sold the ones I wanted.
After I had found the Colormax and replaced them, my daughter walks by
and says WOW! What's different in the tank because those red fish are
like really really red today. lol
The other brand (full spec.) just made them look a little drab.

= Sounds nice. I just use the usual fluorescent tubes from Wally World. In
fact, it's about time I replaced them, it's been about 2 years now. If I
win the lottery..........
