This just removes dirt and other particles.

This removes more stuff from the water, making it
more drinkable.

This is an RO unit using "Thin Film composite"
abbreviated as "TFC" So if you do a search on the
different types of membranes you will see the
advantages and disadvantages of the different
membranes. Kent Marine (http://kentmarine.com) has
documented a lot of good information on the
different types of membranes.


The reason that the system has other filters before
the RO is just like with any RO unit, if you don't
filter out the bigger stuff, it will quickly clog
the membrane, and some membranes will be damaged by
chlorine if it is not removed. Your homework
assignment is to read up on the different types of
RO membranes and become familiar with the
differences :-)

This is the link for the company's RO system that I am planning on.
It doesn't have DI, just RO. The company is Aqua Solutions in Los
