OK, I looked them up. They're crowns and deltas. ;-) The deltas are the
ones selling for $12.99. The crowns are half that where I live. The regular bettas run $3.99 these days, the females $1.99. -- RM.... My Pond & Aquarium Pages: http://tinyurl.com/9do58 Zone 6. Middle TN USA ~~~~ }((((* ~~~ }{{{{(ö |

That is sickening. The last place here that specialized in fuzzy fish with that peculiar stench of decay closed their pet dept. some months ago. But , and I repeat.BUT the lcerk said no problem as they are getting more in on Thursday if there was none there that suited us today..... Doesn't that just tick you off bigtime? We have (teenage) clerks like that at one of the stores here. You should (if you haven't already) email the corp's customer service at PetCo.com. Explain what you saw and when. They *do* get in touch with the store's manager about any problems a customer has with a certain PetCo. I did this constantly with Wal*Mart before they closed the live fish dept. I would constantly call the store, then the district manager in Nashville. I called them to report the horrid conditions of all the fish. Seldom was anything done and any changes were always temporary. In the one store I can't recall every going there and not seeing fish covered with ich and dead furry ones stuck to the filter intakes or rotting on the bottom. When they closed that dept. I was thrilled out of my mind. You just have to let the right person know what's going on. And then you have to keep checking back as they change employees constantly. -- RM.... Explain what you saw and when. They *do* get in touch with the store's manager about any problems a customer has with a certain PetCo. I know this for a fact, as I've been contaced more than once about an email to the corp. regarding the conditions of their male Bettas, and a complete moron of an employee giving out really BAD info to clueless - newbie customer. The conditions of the betta containers were in better shape after I spoke with the head manager via phone. The company had changed from tiny cups to larger containers - almost twice the size of the original tiny cups they were in. This store didn't have the shelf space to house all the males on the *Betta Shelf* in the bigger containers. Mind you, these larger containers are still very small anyway. Again, I emailed the corp and in no time they were in their larger containers, and magically another shelf appeared. Poof! Room to house them all. The other time was regarding what I had over heard an employee telling a customer. The next time I was in he was again helping customers, but instead of bullcrappying them about something he didn't know, he said,"Hold on....let me get somebody who would know the answer to that." Sometimes with only a little effort on the customers part, changes for the better can happen. You just have to let the right person know what's going on.- Hide quoted text - - Show quoted text - Shut the **** up TYNK,. Localcops actuaslly came and read me the riiot act, manager filed a complaint on me and I was told to vacate the premisis.all due to their inept fish keeping ability. I really raised holy hell with them. I even took pics (so I told them) and that really got them in an uproar. I sent info to PETA and mailed Wally World almost daily. I used to send my wife or youngin inside to get more needed evidence............and from time to time I would make a quick run through myself ;p) That store and one more here no longer sells fish of any kind. I even turned them in for the live lobsters conditions............They soon quit handling live lobsters. I made out ok though as I eventually obtained the entire tank setup that was in the one store, when by default the person that originally happend to get it fell down and could not pick it up, I managed to acquire it, as well as a temp[erature controlled live lobster tank.all free for the picking up and hauling away. That is the 2nd set of tanks I have aquired, as I got an entire setup from a Petco previously...........I have since sold the petco setup but still have the Wal mart setup going strong. I use them for over winter housing of my tropicals once I take em out of the preforms outside. |
