Anyone used Blue Life?

I put a few drops on a few of the buggers, and looks like it kills
them. Any long-term effects? Any other products recommended?

The best product I can recommend is buing some peppermint shrimps.
They do great job eating aiptasia and removing even the smallest
ones you cannot see in rock crevices before they grow big enough
to be noticeable. Shimps are not the "overnight solution", it
requires time and patience, but eventually they get rid of even
last single polyps and let you keep tank aiptasia free for years.

They are not as spectacular and ornamental as other Lysmata
species but they do their job pretty well...

If you have a choice between chemical war and buyng some nice
animal to eat the pest, the second solution is much more natural.
Usually cheaper, long lasting and with no unwanted side effects :-)

Keeping more than one Lysmata shrimp (including peppermint)
gives you added benefit of shimp producing eggs and feeding
your corals and fish with shrimp larvae released to water.

Tried them; they don't work. Neither did copper-bands. I had one
actually eat flake food instead.

In any event, I'd still like some feedback on the Blue Life, if
anyone's tried it.

Of course shrimp will eat flake food - why are you surprised?

Mike, are you the manufacturer rep? ;-)

The way to get coper-bands to start eating the
aiptasia, is to harass the aiptasia.
Once the coper-band starts eating them, it won't
stop until it can't find any more.

The copper-band is a butterfly fish. One could look it up.

I must have mistaken this group for one which discusses issues
surrounding reef tanks. I seem to have wandered into one where
people change questions to ones they can answer. My apologies.

Again, my mistake. I was looking for people who had some knowledge
of various products relating to reef tanks.

In any event, one is forced to wonder what kind of manufacturing rep
would ask about possible side effects, rather than extol the virtues
of a product.

Now, could you direct me to a group where people actually answer these
questions? Thank you.

I am unclear on the concept of "harassing" an anemone in order to
get something to eat it.

Once the coper-band starts eating them, it won't
stop until it can't find any more.

That's what it does with flake food.

Sorry, I never used it. It sounds interesting.

We're actually a good group, but we've had persistent problems with
trolls, so please forgive us until we get to know you.

I also hang out on
http://www.reefcentral.com/ It has a wide audience,
so you're likely to find somebody that has used it.
