Looks like a three spot damsel. Here is the link:
http://www.sal****erfish.com/site_11...ot_parent_id=4 RubenD "wolfdogg" wrote in message oups.com... this is the closest image i have seen to my fish today after looking to id it. http://ccma.nos.noaa.gov/reef_fish_p..._STC_10_03.jpg mine doesn't have the caudal fin spot but does have the dorsal fin spot, is primarily that color on the front, but fades into pink, which may just look pink because of my daylight, and may be a pinkish grey, but totally looks pink. the caudal, pec, and anal fins are transparent, pelvic fins are yellow, dorsal fin is pink or lavender pink i guess is more the pinkish hue i see. the lavender pinkish starts on the operculum and works it way back. i may get some pics here on my website, sooner than later, its way outdated, and old. stay tuned for that |

the problem with those images is my fish is pink, on the back 3/4
atleast. and all the images i see its all yellow. im looking for some images of the lavender/pink version. also the black spot having blue around its edges doesnt look the same, unles i cant see it good enough, but it looks pitch black only. also i cant seem to find the small spot on its upper caudal fin at all. but again, my fish is pink and yellow, not yellow. any more ideas? i did a full google search, but maybe somebody has some better resources. oh yes, it has one major trait thats noted somewhere, it digs burrows with its tail. i put rocks int e way, and it finds a way to burrow in between the rocks, and when i put shells there, it carries off the shell with its mouth to about 5 inches away from its favoured burrow location which has been the same spot in my tank since i got him. he would see aggressive, but stop short of biting my clown, even though he appears to try to attack him. he never makes contact, and the false percula is oblivious to his attempted attacks causing NO stress whatsoever the clown. when it digs burrows its using its tail to dig a hole in teh sand, in which is clouds up the water, to my dismay, for a short time being, also the top almost 2 inches is consistantly disturbed in teh DSB in his area, and the sand creates dunes all the way to the back of the tank on the one side near the filter intake on the 29gal aquapod from front to back. he/she's a little ****er!. i would tolerate it if it were overly agressive but its really not, the clown gets plenty to eat, and the flamefish, (firefish) goby and neon goby arent affected by it either. geese, the firefish would blow a hole in the damsel's back if it were really ****ed off cause thats one fast attack missle when he gets ****ed as i have witnessed about 9 months ago when it struck at a lawnmower blenny once. |
