Weird SAE Yoyo Loach behaviour

I just added 3 Yoyo Loaches to my small tropical tank and they've been
hanging out with the SAEs ever since. You'd think they were long lost
buddies. They pretty much ignore each other in the larger tropical tank.
The Loaches rarely venture out of their Loach Motel (Chinese Pagoda) in

No Pagoda in the tank in question, the Pagoda is in the tank where they
tend to ignore each other.

I noticed last night when I fed the SAEs their Veggie Flakes that they
weren't so keen on the Loaches hanging around.

Why do you think they hide in the larger tank? Maybe they need more
plants or rockpiles for security?


I think it's the lack of human contact. The ones in my office see me all the
time, but the ones in the basement only see each other. But I really don't
know why.
