Default Metal Halide bulb

And you would also need an M57 ballast.

I don't think that medium base is the same thing as mogule base.

I think that medium base is the same size as that of a regular
incandescent bulb.

I have a 175W hamilton MH lamp

(
http://www.hamiltontechnology.com/s...ow&cat=Reefstar)

I usually buy the bulbs at ebay with no problem, however I just purchased
this bulb very cheap:

175 Watt 10,000 Kelvin
T-bulb shape
E26 Medium base
CRI 65
Horizontal Burn Position
Runs on an M57 Ballast

and discover it is thiner than my mogul bulb.

Where did I go wrong? Aren't they supposed to have the same width?

My question is, where can I find this lamp fixture? Is it intended for
reef
tanks? Is there an adapter perhaps?

Thanks in advance, however I got the feeling I just threw money away.
