Default anyone up for an id?

good job, glad to hear. some of the
nitrates is locked up in the algae, so
once it dies it will release the nitrate
unless something processes it. when it
got real bad in the past i used to suck it
out with a siphon hose without hitting the
dsb, but that was hard to do, and always
took bits of sand with it. so depends on
how bad it is. hopefully the clean up
crew will eat it to help process it.

Yea it's a harmless brittle star. They will multiply like worms in the
sand.

probably nothing to worry about?
looks harmless maybe 1/2" long
pretty tiny creature. I didn't put him back in

I think maybe ~ I've got a good handle on the red algae. I turned my
coral
life lamp around so the sand gets the blue light. Amazing what just a
little
adjustment does. Thanks to you and that other guy too.

Nitrates are a lot better but still have a way to go. I'm hoping as the
dsb
and the new LR cures......

I'm getting bubbles again. Nitrogen? Bright and shiny. I only get those
if I
go awhile (5 days) w/o a h2o change. Usually means I need to change h2o,
but, I might have the nitrates under control.

I'll check my ph and phosphates, nitrates in the morning.

Jim
