im new to keeping fish,what are the best fish,to keep the bottom of the tank
clean,i have a 80lt tank

The bottom of the tank should not need to be kept clean. Why is
getting dirty? Too much food?

The best thing to keep the bottom of the tank clean is the person
that feeds the fish! Bottom cleaners may do a half decent affair but
its too much to be expected for fish to keep the bottom clean and
human intervention is stillgoing to be required.

Most any of the catfish in the coryadorus family do a fair job, as do
weather (DOJO) loaches. If your getting an accumulation of foods yuor
feeding too much...........The bottom may require a vacuuming on
occassion but it should not really become that dirty or full of
detrius etc that it is so noticeable. Usually there is an accumulation
of detrius that does build up over time that gets down betweenthe
gravel or substrate that needs vaccuuming out.......Use what is called
a Phython or gravel cleaner to clean substrate.........

Albino cory cats do pretty well, and they're fun to watch.

i have a gravel cleaner,which i do use from time to time when needed,all the
fish in my tank apart from the corys,are tetras,barbs,danios,glass fish,whats
the best way to get the amount of food right that you feed,so keeping the
bottom cleaner

given them enough. If there's still some left after two minutes, you're
feeding too much.

No real need to make supplemental independant feedings for most bottom
feeders like Corys. There is usually always going to be sufficient
foods that get by most fish to enable a cory to find food, or at most
all I ever put in with a cory is 2 shrimp pellets per
cory............so between uneated foods that get my other fish and a
shrimp pellet they have always done fine and bred to...so evidently
its more than adequate.

I have 2 corys in each 55g tank. All are looking fat and sassy so they're
getting enough. :-) I drop a shrimp pellet in every other day or so because
the clowns love them too! The platys in the live-bearer tank also love to
nibble on them.
