Are they that aggressive, and will they attack other fish? Even bigger
fish?

Do you have any books at all on aquariums and fish? Might I suggest
one for $20 at most LFS and even cheaper at Books a Million. entitled
"The Aquarium Fish Handbook" by Dick Mills and Derek Lambert.

It has everything in it so far that yuou have askeds about and covers
fish keeping and aquarium setup as well as a great layout and
descriptions on fish and what gets along with what. Good reading and
handy to have, and for the most part has everyt9ing the general
aquarium / fish enthusiast will need to know.......

Books a MIllion has all kinds of books on aquarium setups etc and fish
keeping and they do make for good reading, even if your already up to
par on fish keeping etc. They are extremely handy top have for quick
reference. The one I listed above is usually under $20 at most stores,
but you may pay more at a petshop.

As for the pictus being agressive its hard to say. SOme can be others
not. Oftentimes it depends a lot on just how large a tank the fish is
in and how crowded with fish the tank is......I often have had fish
that are supposed ot be agressive to each other be peaceful and co
exist just fine, as long as they were ina large enough tank or there
was enough of the same fish so that it was virtually impossibnle to
work out a pecking order........Best bet is read up and ask other with
the type of fish your interested in and lthen you can better decide if
the fish is really suitable for your tank / setup and current
inhabitants. I pay little to no attention to 99% of the stickers inthe
petshops as there is just too many variables involved so it need not
be like the books or signs actually say.

I thought those folks in the petstore knew what they were doing when
they put those signs on the tanks, saying what fish is
aggressive..semi-agressive. Thanks for that.
