Default Protein skimmer overflowing

Hi,
Im sure some of you will find this dumb but I am new to the Sal****er tank
world and I need lots of help.

I have a bio cube 29. I bought it from someone on Craigslist assembled and
working with fish already in it.I changed the water in my tank, then when
i put the protien skimmer back on, it started freaking out and over
flowing with bubbles. what did i do wrong and how do i fix it?

either you have an extremely heavy bio load that will eventually lessen, or
too much air intake. restrict the air intake line in some manner.

You ****ing dumbass...read her post again. It was not overflowing
before when her water was dirty and then she did a water change and
now its overflowing the cup0. Just restrict the air supply down some
and make sure your skimmer is deep enough in the water in the back of
the tank. The small skimmers can be a pain to adjust and set
right.............If the air is supplied by an air pump to an air
stone device tie a knot in the airline and tighten or loosen up on the
knot to adjust air or buy one of those aquarium air valves to adjust
it. Best do a google search of your skimmer brand and see if you can
find a copy of setup and use instructions for it online so you can see
exactly where things sould be set such as depth in the tank and how
much air etc etc.
