African Dwarf Frog floating on top of tank :(

I recently purchased four African Dwarf Frogs. I put two of the
little guys in my one gallon filtered tank with my Betta. One of the
frogs almost immediately floated to the top (well, after an hour) and
he has been there ever since. I purchased (per various pet store
recommendations) quite the variety of food and found that three of the
frogs will eat frozen blood worms. I have never seen poor Floaty eat
anything, though perhaps he eats when I am not looking. When I
carefully touch Floaty he will move so he is alive. For quite some
time he only floated without movement. Yesterday he was quite active
(for him) and wiggled and swam around. At one point I watched him
attempt a number of times to swim to the bottom, only to pop back up
to the top.

One of the frogs in my other tank also started floating, but I suspect
that I overfed him, which can be remedied. However, I am quite
worried about Floaty. Except for this "stuck on the top of the tank"
business, he seems quite healthy. He is absolutely not bloated.
What's going on and what can I do for him?

Is it possible that the frog aquired some sort of parasite from their
food? I have ADFs keeping my beta company and I'm curious to know if
that might be the cause.

Looks like my post was lost, so if this ends up being a repeat, please
ignore. Poor Floaty died. If there were parasites they came from the
store as he became ill so quickly after purchase. I use only
commercial food so I hope that it is clean. I do think that the
freeze dried blood worms )as opposed to the frozen) might have caused
some gas bubbles in the other frogs (one in particular would eat a few
freeze dried worms and then almost immediately pop to the top and
float for an hour or two) but that problem was solved by soaking the
worms before feeding, feeding less often and using the frozen food
more often.

Sorry to hear your ADF died. It probably came to you sick,
as you say, and then couldn't handle the freeze-dried food.
I fed my first frog that diet and it didn't last long. My
current two seem quite healthy on frozen foods, HBH frog
bites & whatever they can wrestle from the fish.

Try again. ADF are great to watch.

cause was. I find that they do well on freeze dried tubifex worms,
TetraMin Tropical tablets and a treat of the freeze dried blood worms.
They will also eat some algae wafers as well. My frogs like to float
and it seems to be normal behavior as well as going around the tank
along the bottom..

Sorry about the loss of that frog. Hard to treat them when something is
wrong.

Try switching to frozen Bloodworms.
They jump up and give you a great big SMOOCHY!
