I would also check pH levels.. I find myself high pH does wierd things to my
fish, no matter what breed... Timmer... "~*~ Vosklady ~*~" wrote in message ... "george kimes" wrote in message ... My 60 gal. indoor aquarium has always been clear and the water has checked good. 4 day's ago one of my male Black Molly's started swimming with his head up and fins moving very fast. Just noticed that a male guppy has exactly the same symptoms. All the fish have been in this tank for 3 weeks. This is an established tank with other healthy fish that are quite old. Any help will certainly be appreciated. Hi George . . . ![]() It sounds to me like your fish may have what is called the "shimmies". This is something that can effect livebearing fish and can be helped and prevented. Are the fish moving from side to side (pectoral fins moving rapidly without their moving forward?). If this is so, then it very well be the "shimmies". Here are some pages you can look into to find some info on the "shimmies" and what you can do: Molly Bright (Liquid) - I've used this before, and one dose cleared up the problem. http://www.junglelabs.com/pages/deta...tml?item=NJ050 http://fishinthe.net/html/section-printpage-20.html http://www.fishbowlpets.com/pets/diseases.htm http://ibmring.com/guppy/remedychart.htm Hope This Helps! ![]() Regards, ~*~ Vosklady ~*~ ** Sorry if this is double posted, my ISP had a bad *hiccup* right after I initially posted. ** |
