Looking for good websites, and just amazed by my fish.

can remember off the top of my head. one thing tho, the rule for
livebearers such as mollies, swordtails, platys and guppies is to have 3
females to 1 male so the male doesnt constantly hound and stress out the one
female and so they can have a rest from the male. and ya need a nitrite
test kit. and mixing gouramis is kinda hard because they tend to not like
other gouramis. the gold gourami is much more aggressive then opalines and
flames are. if your worrieda bout him not getting his share of food,
establish seperate feeding corners.

At this point my set-up is:
Aquariums for Dummies Book
1 45gallon "corner-wedged" shaped tank
1 Penguin 170 filter "Wheel-type"
1 20gallon undergravel filter plate It was the largest plate they had
that would fit in the odd shaped tank.
1 Penguin Power Head for the filter plate
1 small air pump for the other tube end of the filter plate and
1 4 inch bubble wall stone
1 200 watt heater
1 full-spectrum light (I think) and hood, set on a timer
2 rocks with "swim-thru" holes
1 hard wood stump with about 9 broken branches anchored to a flat slate
rock.
1 kit of each to test Nitrate,PH, Ammonia
1 med-size bottle of Stress-Coat
1 med-size bottle of Stress-Zyme
1 small-size bottle of plant fertilizer
1 med-size container of color enriching flake food
1 small-size container of dried blood worms
1 small cartoon of Aquarium salt
40lbs of substrate, and the other assorted items to bring it together.
and I used 1 med-packet of Biro-Spira (not sure of SP) to get the cycle
started.

Lifeforms:
1 Glass Catfish
1 Glass Fish
1 Rainbow Shark
1 Flame Dwarf Gourami
1 Golden Gourami
1 Opaline Gourami
2 Clown Loaches
2 Dalmation Mollies (1 male,1 female)
2 Silver Angelfish
3 Red Velvet Swordtails (1 male, 2 female)
6 Long-finned Zebra Danios
21 TOTAL

3 Unknown plants. (The Petco employee did not know what they were.)

I have gotten these fish over a period of three weeks, after testing water
and such. Everybody gets along fine except for the Golden Gourami,
Opaline
Gourami, and the Rainbow Shark. The Opaline and the Rainbow are new this
weekend. The Golden chases the Opaline, away from the top areas of the
tank. Even though the Opaline is slightly larger. So the Opaline likes
to
hide behind rocks and plants with the Rainbow in his little established
territory areas. When the Golden wanders to close to the "new" pair the
Rainbow chases him off and returns back to the side of the Opaline. So I
am
sort of worrying if the Opaline will get a chance to feed with the Golden
always bugging him. But at least he has a "Big Brother" watching out for
him.

I did boil a small bit of lettuce today and put that in the tank for the
"Gang" as a treat for their "Super-Bowl Sunday Supper" and the Clown
Loaches
acted like little pigs. They are blast to watch sometimes, especially
when
they are trying to tell me to turn out the light so they can get some
rest.

Oh well, enough of my ramblings, what can you guys come up with for me?
