Wave Makers

would help circulation, and add a bit more realism to the tank, i think it
would be nice. ive seen those wavemaker head too for powerheads that rotate,
is that what you are talking about? alternate circulation is good for a
tank, actually allows for more even distribution of food in most cases. i
would also think of coinciding the feeding times with the wave maker as the
tide brings in the good foods.

I am considering getting a wave maker for my tank and am wondering
about a couple things.
First, are they really a big advantage in a reef tank? I have two
inlets coming from my sump which I know it wouldn't control but I have
two powerheads, one on each end of a 125 and am considering adding
another if I get a wavemaker
Second, which is a good one to look at? I saw one listed that's like
a powerstrip where each outlet comes on and off at certain times.
