Default Guide to breeding Caridina japonica, Yamato/Amano shrimp.

As my shrimp larvae have now metamorphosed into miniatures of the
adults, I now feel confident enough that I'll succeed in breeding them
that I'm posting my experiences to the web:

Primary URL (not always accessible):
http://mikes-machine.mine.nu/breeding_yamato.htm

Alternative URL (not always up-to-date):
http://hem.bredband.net/micnor/breeding_yamato.htm

The article is still evolving. When the article is finished I'll see
if some aquarium site (The Krib?) might be interested in hosting it.

Corrections, suggestions etc welcomed.

Brilliant! Best pictures of breeding Caridina Japonica I've ever seen,
thanks for that!

Cheers,

Michi.

That's a really cool page! I'm a bit sad to hear I'll never see amano
babies though... I don't have the time to fish the fry out and put it in
a salt water tank. Come to think of it, I don't have a salt water tank...
