Default loach question

I returned from 2 weeks out of town to find what looks to be at least 100
snails in my tank and I've read all the postings about snails and loaches.
My tank is 29 gal high with small to med size gravel and has the following:
lots of plants, 2 guppies, 4 platies, 1 marbled hatchet, 6 danios (3
zebra/3long-fins), and 5 peppered corys.
Everything is fine in the tank except for all the snails so I thought I'd
get some loaches to control them. I'm concerned about the substrate and any
conflict between the corys and the loaches. I thought I'd try for 3 zebra or
yoyo loaches. Anyone have any thoughts on this before I add them to the
tank? TIA
Denise
