![]() exactly loads of power heads i have the ones that rotate with the rudder/ flange thing and the pipe for air. put em in just so they disturb the water and you can see air bubbles. are you running external filters ? if so drop the outlet / return hose just below the water line so this reacts with the air. also use your skimmer, i have live rock under it {slightly out of the water so the return from the skimmer breaks over the rocks and into the water loads of bubbles. try and imagine the tank on plan. plot your inlet/outlets for your external filters / power heads and skimmer. so that they are all in different places. imagine that you must get the whole surface water moving, and no areas are left stagnent. its easier than you think. you can hide the pickup / return pipes with rock etc if your worried about looking good. power heads at different levels will stir the water up also. hope this helps scaffman -- What is this...... Thanks for that. How do you oxygenate your water? I have got all levels (Nitrite, Nitrate, PH etc) right but oxygen is REALLY low. Many thanks, Dave "Rory Breaker" wrote in message ... ive been running a trigon 350 90gal corner tank for 15months as marine. before that it was in use as a marine tank for nearly 2 years. never had a prob other than setting it up right. you are right you will need to ditch some of the standard equipment. proper lighting yes proper external filtration {2 fluvals 403/404 1 ehim pro} or drill for sump decent uv ster skimmer it can work scaffman -- What is this...... I changed filter to a powerful external canister and lighting was changed to marine spec, plus airstones galore but still low oxygenation? Should I just give up an stick tropicals in it? Dave "Foxhunter" wrote in message ... Help, first time I have found this newsgroup. I am *TRYING* unsuccessfully to set up a Trigon 350 tank for Marine. Despite everything I try, I cannot get the water to a high enough oxygenation level. My dealer now says Trigons are not designed fro Marine? Anyone offer and advice - PLEASE. Dave |
