General hardness is correct for my reference. Testing 75-125 ppm using
Jungle Quick Dip 5 test kit. "Iain Miller" wrote in message ... "David Ritter" wrote in message news ![]() I read that in hard water, ph of 7.2 is same as ph of 8.2 in soft water. Is that correct? Hard water and a Ph of 7.2 implies there would be a lot of CO2 in the water. Soft water and a Ph of 8.2 would imply fairly low levels of CO2 so no they are not really the same at all (!) Of course it depends on whether you are talking about Carbonate Hardness - dKh (which the above assumes) or General Hardness dGh...... Either way, I am oyut of my depth on the chemistry front here - but I can't see any way you would say that the properties of the two samples you have suggested would be close to one another. I. |

These two waters cannot be the SAME water because the pH is 10 times more
alkaline in the 8.2 sample. What is the SAME in the reading you quote? @n0.66.n0t.47.n0w.191._.18 wrote in message ...
