My male Kenyi has developed a "coloration" around the gills. It looks
shiny, like mother of pearl almost. Any idea? The female does not have
this.

"Casey"
it could be Gill Disease are the gills swollen? and pump fast? is

the Fish swiming in jerking motion? it might be fungus and/or
bacterial infection.

No strange behavior. Both fish are acting the same, eating normal, no
physical signs of any disease or injury. Any treatment ideas?
