Before you get any criticizm, you should be prepared for what you're about
to get...

Anytime someone comes into a newsgroup and asks for opinions, you're bound
to get some that are more negative than positive, so take that with a grain
of salt and don't get ****y when someone says something you don't like....
It's been done before...

I'll now go look and see whatcha got....

It looks a little amateurish, for example the buttons with text
running to both sides

Can't comment on prices - you are on the wrong side of the pond, but I
know that I made more in pounds that you are charging in dollars for
the python kit

ps these kits should really come with a health warning about the drops
in temperatures, I will only use mine now with three kettles of
boiling water being added at the same time - two dead clowns from
temperature shock was a painful lesson.

How would you present the buttons?

Would you just use text in a appealing font and skip the button itself?

The buttons on my site are made with the text on them. I think I got them
from a site called www.cooltext.com . I made one button with text white, then
saved it, changed the color of the text to yellow, then saved that. I preload
the images and use a java script rollover to make the buttons change color when
the person hovers over it. Although I've not had any complaints, this can be
memory intensive. I don't see the text running off the side of the buttons on
your site as the was mentioned, but I still see the home button as part of your
header. That and the search should be fit into the page. Also, there's a lot of
empty space on the right side of the screen. By utilizing the whole screen, you
can prevent so much scrolling down.
Also, at the bottom of the page, your return policy link is listed three
times. Stop using front page and go buy that book I told you about. *wink*

I use my python with little to no problems. Even in my 10 gallon tanks where
temperature changes can be more drastic. I simply mix the hot and cold water to
match the temperature in the tank before closing the valve at the bottom of the
python.

As you mentioned earlier in your post, I can tell you're referring to life
in the UK I lived there for three years. You blokes have VERY SMALL
water heaters. No wonder you run out of warm water before the fish tank is
full

Here in the States, it routine to have a hot water tank that is 50 gal or
more. Virtually every house has one this size. This makes it easy to fill
a 55 or even 100 gal tank with ~80F water with no problem. Simply adjust
the hot/cold ratio at the water faucet for the right temp before starting to
fill. I love my Python!
