Default Corys dying

OK I got 4 corys 3 died
I checked the water (good)
I got 4 more corys 2 have died in 3 days
Water 7.6 PH
150 ppm hardness
temp 79F
no amonia ,nitrates,or chloramine
all the other fish are fine
Fire mouths, severum, blood parrots , pleco, ottos
Whats the deal!

What kind of Cory's.. There are numerous types out there, and a lot that
look very similair... ID the species and there might be some help... What
did the gills look like? I had a bout with mine dropping dead, it coincided
with the plant food.. I think the cleated iron had something to do with it..

Well I believe they are corydoras loxozonus
I ad no plant food or any other chemicals except stress coat at water
changes.
The only thing I can think of is maybe the charcoal in the filter but
I doubt it. As far as I could see the gils were normal.

your answer likely is with the tank mates. Firemouths and Severums can be
very aggressive especially if they are in the spawning mood. The best
temperature to keep Corydoras at is room temperature although 79 degress is
not going to kill them quickly it will certainly reduce their life span. I
have 15 varieties of Corydoras in my fish room , none of the tanks have
heaters and the temp ranges from the lower tanks at 69-70 to upper tanks
72-74..
