Default where to buy petrified wood

I did mean petrified wood but I am revising my plans quickly, that is for
sure. I currently have a couple hundred pounds of rock work in my tank. It
is all different kinds of inert rocks like slate and river stones that I
picked up from a pond supply place for quite cheap. I am looking to change
it out and saw that the petrified wood provided a cool affect and it sounded
neat looking through the archives (groups.google.com). Unfortunately, the
places I found selling the petrified wood are selling the smaller pieces
that are very ornate and expensive (like they should go on a book shelf or
something). I was hoping to find the lower quality stuff that are mainly
hunks of silica that look sort of, kind of reminiscent of wood. I am not
sure what my new plan is but I will probably revisit using simple lava rock
or flag stones up the back glass. I also thought it might be cool to use
all obsidian in the tank. I think the black glassy look might make my
fishies color really stand out while giving the tank a general mystical
eerie look.

I have large collection of petrified wood. Email me with specifics

of what you are wanting. Email:

Thanks for the suggestion. There is one rock shop in the area. I will

them in the morning.

Are you sure you want petrified wood and not just dried out stuff? The
reason I ask is because petrified wood is extremely heavy, and you'll
rarely find it in large chunks - at a price most normal people can
afford anyway.

I have a piece of 2"x5" petrified wood and it weighs in at about 4lbs.
