Most pet stores sell antibiotics for fish.
"Jonathan Wood" wrote in message link.net... I have a wild fish (bluegill) that was caught with a fishing pole and hook. It's been doing okay in my tank (eating and behavior), but the hook sores above its mouth have now caused a swelling in one side of its nose. It looks to me like some sort of infection. My water isn't great (nitrates are pretty high--I'm doing some water changes but have had some trouble) but the other fish seem to be doing fine. I was just wondering if it's possible to administer antibiotics to this fish, and if they can be purchased without going to a vet. Thanks for any tips! Jonathan |

Found some, although I'm not sure they will work for my particular problem.
Trying it now. Thanks. Jonathan "Limnophile" wrote in message ... Most pet stores sell antibiotics for fish. "Jonathan Wood" wrote in message link.net...
