I have posted previously that I have a goldfish tank in a

communal
living situation. Well, had.

This morning I went downstairs to feed the goldfish and

found the two
larger single tails immobile on the bottom and the two

fantails floating
belly up. And from the kitchen doorway I could smell

alcohol. During the
night somebody had poured enough alcohol to noticeably

raise the water
level in a 29 gallon tank.

I am very sad and angry and I don't know if I have the

heart to give
goldfish-keeping another try.

That really sucks. I'm sorry for you and the fish. I would
also worry about rooming with people (I don't know your
situation) who would casually do something like that.
I hope you can sit down with your roommates and have a
discussion with them about this.

Gail
