Default Wild Driftwood prep..

Anyone have experience collecting wild driftwood?
What processing steps do you need to take? Boiling
with salt, disinfecting etc. Is this a dangeroius proposition?
Bought Store driftwood is bloody expensive.

getting it to sink is the biggest problem. it will take quite a while to absorb
enough water to stay under. nasty can be killed by zapping in microwave. altho I
dont know what happens to wet wood in microwave either, it could explode like eggs
do. and an additional problem is what kind of wood cause some woods are toxic, some
could be toxic. Ingrid
