Default Problem with Plexiglass Tank...

all-glass aquarium sealent is fine to use on acrylic, i used it to repair a
plastic broken aquarium decoration and i used it to attach large stones to
an acrylic black ghost tube.

Hello,

I purchased a 2.5 Gallon Plexi tank for my 10 year old from Petco back in

the
winter. When it arrived, it had a crack in the tank. (Tank is 1 piece

molded
hexi) So I called Petco and they gladly replaced that tank.

All of this was unknown to my daughter as I was saving it for her May

Birthday.
So the replacement tank arrives and rather than open it and check it like

a
thinking person would have done, I put the box away in my closet to await

her
birthday.

May rolled around but at this point we were thinking we were selling our

house
and moving so it didn't make sense to take out the tank and set it up

knowing
we were about to move... (See where this is going?)

Well today I finally took the tank out and lo and behold... about a 2

inch
crack in one of the sides of the tank. Obviously it is too late for me to

try
to get Petco to replace yet another tank. I botched that when I didn't

check
it to begin with. LOL

Soooo After all that, here is my question. Can I use a product called

'All
Glass' Aquarium Sealent to try to patch that crack? I can arrange the

tank so
that it won't show by putting the patch in the back where the filter and

so
forth are, but I'm concerned that a product called 'All Glass' is called

that
for a reason. If I can't use that, do any of you have any suggestions as

to
which sealent would be best?

Sorry for this huge rambling post.

Thank you in advance,

Julie
