sure BV 1 oz per 1000 gallons a litle extra will not hurt

my pellets are aprox 1" pillow shaped and I have dumped in half+ a 44 oz
7-11 cup full at one time

I use a handful every ten days or so, maybe 1/4 cup. I do have an
automatic water changer, 24gal/day. About 1000 gal pond.
