Default Apology Accepted ... for what?

Jeez I spend a lot of time saying oops! (what's that I hear about violins on
TV).... That was Jan's web site that I thought was so nice.... (which I
should have known given that I've been there often enough)... The post I
eventually found in reference to the GOOGLE search I did oddly had her link
in it. After reading further into the posting I now get that the complaint
was that rather THAN give a LINK he posted an advertisement. I use to be
able to do multiple things at the same time.... I guess when the eyesight
started going downhill so did that parallel processing....

I still stand by my "lighten up" request though. It is healthier for us
all. DK

Me too (confused). We have at least 2 people in here that run a business
and even though they do not put up obnoxious adds, they do have a link to
their site where they sell fish and plant related "stuff" and they have

had
posts where it is clear that they do trade in the business.

I'm curious what was so out of line that it got someone slapped down for
it....

I accept your apology, Ghislain.

One of the basic concepts of dealing with newsgroups is to read posts

on
a
particular newsgroup to get an idea of the "flavor" of a newsgroup.

Since you are new to newsgroups, you might want to check out this page

on
"netiquette" (newsgroup & email etiquette):
http://www.imagescape.com/helpweb/news/newsnet.html.

Also, many newsgroups have websites for FAQ (Frequently Asked

Questions).
Here's the FAQ for rec.ponds:

thing.I
enjoy the imformation and ideas and questions that you good people

interesting and it also made me realize how sincere that everyone

are
about
the topic. There is alot of interest in the pond topics and that is a

good
thing
