Default Instant Ocean Best Deal on Web?

In the middle of the U.S., our prices are much higher for salt. I'm paying $50
a 200g bucket of Kent's Sea Salt from a supplier in our club. At the LFS, you
can easily pay $60 or more for the same bucket that you are getting WAY cheaper
on the east and west coast.

Oh well. At least we have our own powergrid in Texas.

You should have used the 10% off deal and paid shipping and saved an
additional $10.

Anyway, for all those interested, here's how it works out from petsmart
compared to thatfishplace:

Here's the shipping rates for petsmart. There are NO additional freight
charges:

Up to $25 is $6.99
$25.01 to $50 is $7.99
$50.01 to $75 is $8.99
$75.01 - $100 is $9.99
Over $100 is $10.99 (Max charge)

I contacted thatfishplace and it would be crazy to buy from them. Shipping
will vary by area, but I'm not too far being in NY. To me, the cheapest
method they quoted me was:

One bucket is $14.55
Two buckets is $28.61
Three buckets is $43.01
Four buckets is $57.07

I ordered four buckets from petsmart. It worked out as follows:

Subtotal: $139.96 (4 x $34.99)
Discount: $14.00 (10% promo coupon)
Sales tax: $11.97
Shipping: $10.99
Grand total: $148.92

Nets me down to a cost of $37.23 per bucket ($148.92 / 4)

If purchased from thatfishplace:

Subtotal: $145.56 (4 x $36.39)
Discount: $0.00
Tax: $0.00
Shipping: $57.07
Grand total: $202.63

Nets down to $50.66 each.

Even with tax & without promos, a single bucket from petsmart is almost
$6.00 cheaper than thatfishplace and that difference can increase if your
shipping costs go up with thatfishplace. The savings really increases with
petsmart once you order in bulk since the max shipping is only $10.99, the
average costs per bucket goes down. With thatfishplace, you basically save
nothing additional by buying in bulk since you pay full shipping for every
bucket.

You might have missed it, but I already posted the petsmart info in this
thread. They have free shipping or 10% orders over $50. They do not

charge
actual freight either for shipping. That is why I'm curious as to what
Brittany paid for shipping from thatfishplace because they charge actual
freight for the 200 gallon salt and they weigh over 70lbs each.

you might want to check petsmart.com, I think they still have free
shipping
going on right now. Its on orders of $50.00 or more though so you

will
nee
to get 2 buckets.
