Default Davey Tagelus 150 pool filter

we have moved into a new home that has a davey tagelus 150 pool filter
and i was wondering on when do you know when to backwash the filter
the pressure gauge you can still read the numbers but there is no
colour background. thanks for anyones help

Wrong ng for swimming pools but ........ if it is a sand filter ......
when pressure gets around 20 back wash
