So since I am a meat eating man where does that live me in my relationship
with Guinness?

Especially Guinness Stout!

LOL...Alcoholic Koi Keepers.
FWIW, Guinness is especially good for vegetarians and ladies on their

period
as it contains a high count of iron!

July 19 till 2 8. Southwest airline. Ontario California, one stop in
Vegas, then Baltimore.

Can you recommend an area to stay at near Baltimore and DC if my visit will
include touring DC, Baltimore waterfront, Southeast Virginia, etc? I
checked on line, but I've forgotten the different areas! What do you
recommend if I'm coming with my wifey, 3 daughters ages 10 yrs, 8 yrs, and 9
months?

In Baltimore the Inner Harbor is very nice, with shopping and aquarium.
They also have a wonderful railway museum. Annapolis, for the naval
academy. DC, too many things to mention. National Zoo, Smithsonian,
Capital, Whitehouse, Washington Monument, Bureau of Printing & Engraving.
Many have tours, but some do to terrorism, are closed or limited. Richmond,
my ponds. Williamsburg, Jamestown, and Yorktown for the history buffs,
Norfolk for the Navy ships, and Virginia Beach for the beach and fishing.

RTB,
I went to college out there by Norfolk, Virginia. But thanks for the
reminder of all the beautiful cultural things! Having lived out here in
California for 2 decades now, I have forgotten CULTURE!

Maybe you can help me since BV is staying silent! Where around the DC
Baltimore area is a safe area I can stay at with my family! Somewhere nice
with an old world charm!

I have not had a lot of opportunity to stay in the Baltimore area in several
years. The area down around the inner harbor is mostly convention center
area, and is kept very nice and clean. The scenery is nice and it is close
to Little Italy, and just beyond is the Greek area. Good food. The other
area in Baltimore proximity with a goodly amount of lodging that is
reasonable new and in a reasonable neighborhood is at or near BWI. In the
Washington area, for character, I think Alexandria is hard to beat, but I am
not sure if any of the hotels are in the older part of town or if they are
all down near National Airport, in what is called Crystal City. The other
areas with large numbers of hotels would be Arlington, which is nice, and SW
Washington DC. Personally, I don't like to cross the river, but that part
of town is not too bad.

Well gee whiz...I take a weekend off to work on my planting methods, and I
get slapped upside the head. Really not nice, especially since I have
headache induced by too much pond planting.
