Default Browing Lilies

I get in my lily pond once a week (once the water is warm) and prune/dead
head. When the aphids hit I squish them on the pad, this usually only takes
time the first session, after that they'll only be on a few pads, and then
hardly none. I think spraying them just transfers them, way too many for
the fish to eat, and I don't think the sticky eggs necessarily get washed
off, but squishing apparently does them in too.

Spraying is really detrimental if you have stemmed plants, because once
they start crawling up some of those stalks they can be harder to see and
squish. ;o) ~ jan

this year I am having a big problem with something the size of black specks. I hose
them off and the fish seem to suck em up. then the beasties crawl outta the water
back onto the leaves. I got leaves up in the air as well, too crowded but at least
the plant is blooming a lot. Texas Dawn.
