Water celery and water mint are invasive

I just took all of the water celery and water mint out of my pond.
Everything is containerized so it was not problem. They were sending
out runners with roots that would take root in all the neighboring pots.
They may have been responsible for cleaning up my pond in the spring
when I was fighting string algae, but I am going to replace them with
water hyacinth (in containers) now which have filled up the containers
they are in now.
