Default Advice for "Eleocharis Acicularis" (Hairgrass)

I have a pot of this hair grass ... the picture on tha attched label shows a
lovely clums of fine grass, which resembles .... yes, hair. About 3" in
length and standing upright, much like the cartoons show when the character
has been electricuted.

Mine, in real life ... looks like that same cartoon character, when they
have a bucket of water tipped over them ... kind of straggly and slicked to
one side?

The pot is in amongst some boulders and small pebbles with the top of the
pot about an inch or two beneath the surface, just like it says on the
label.

Any ideas why mine looks wet and lifeless?
