Default What should I do with the Damsel

I have a Damsel that is harassing my other fish. During the time we were
selling our house I didn't stock
my tank and ended up having this blue yellowtail damsel in the tank as the
only fish for about 2 months
so he thinks its his tank. Now that I have added a Maroon Clown and Blue
Tang the damsel is picking
on both. My LFS won't take damsels what should I do with it?

thanks,
Kelly

find a local fish club and donate it to their auction/prize giveaways. make
a tiny tank for someone (a child?) and have it be the only fish in the tank.

Got a sump? My 20g sump\fuge has LR, DSB and is lighted since I grow
macro for nitrate reduction. My yellowtail was picking on everyone,
so into the sump he went, with the intention of finding him a new
home. He's quite happy in there, with only a choc-chip star and a
couple hermits to keep him company.

It's a little dirty, but one morning about an hour before your lfs
opens.......bag the damsel and leave him by the front door. They won't let
it die, they will take it and put it in a tank. I know from first hand
experience, I worked retail pet for 10 years and I had it done to me
countless numbers of times.

It is his tank, Though I am surprised the Maroon isn't sorting him, mine
takes so much, then sorts out the damsels, then rearranges half the rocks in
the tank.

Damsels are boisterous to say the least, dominoes leccy blues.
That is the way it is , what do you want us to say ,Flush him?

Now, Now, name-calling will solve nothing. Besides, it's a good idea.
The store won't take it when they're open, only *one* that I frequent
would consider taking back a damsel, and that's a small outfit with
no employees other than him, his wife, and 2 small kids.g His only
other options a

1: Kill it.
2: Spend a ****load of money and find room for another fishtank for a
silly damsel.

The 'leave it on the doorstep' method, while it may appear a bit
unethical, is a decent option IMO, when considering the needs of the
animal.

Coward ?.....isn't that a little extreme over the desposition of a damsel ?
It's a viable option, maybe not one you agree with, but it solves the
problem. I worked in a LFS, and Pet Smart, and a major coral breeding
facility, for a total of over 10 years, and we got fish weekly that way. The
employees got first dibs at whatever came in that way, and if no one wanted
the fish, it went into a tank and stayed there for a week to make sure it
was ok. It was often used as a gimmie if a regular customer wanted it.
Sometimes they went into one of our several display tanks, or was sold at a
greatly reduced price, or if no one ever wanted them, they ended up as live
grouper or lionfish food. Either way, it's a win win situation.
