use the wool, toss the carbon which is basically useless. yes, air pumps drive air
out of the outlet pipe and when they do this they create a mild vacuum for water to
come into the holes in the side of the filter. right? Ingrid

Does the carbon go in first? or the "wool"? the airpipe seems to blow only
air out of the outlet pipe, it doesnt look like any actual water is being
filtered thru. can anyone help? I know theyre not the best filters but all
I have til the end of the week.
