Bill,

You have to use the meds for the entire time stated. If you don't you will
see the problem return. I use the meds for 7 to 10 days.

The pimafix and melafix can be used in tandem. When used together the
pimafix takes care of the problem and the melafix helps in the healing
process.

I don't know if you have read Ingrid's webpage and I have not read it
recently, but the last time I saw it it was only good if you plan to make
you child drink full strength tea tree esssential oil. Most of the cases
that I saw featured there were case of extreme stupidity. Like the lady who
put more on her bird because if a little worked great and lot should work
better.

Meds are just that, medications an they should be used as directed.

If the Pimafix worked it is foolish to work with PP if you don't have to.
Smart move guy.

I don't know what is wrong with Ingrid, she has this thing in her ear about
Melafix and refuses to listen to reason. If you have ever worked with
Discus fish, fry specifically, it is the only med that has been found
effective for discus fry with out killing the spawn.

Good luck. Remember to use the meds for the specified amount of time.

When and if I buy new fish part of my quarentine is a two week dosing of
Melafix.

I used it on fish who was in a q-tank because he was new and he had a
cotton like fluff comeing from a gill. And Melifix took care of that.

Other than that, I have use it for torn fins on danios, minnows and a
really sick ram.

If I had a real sick fish, I would have other medications on standby.
And if the fish was really bad I would use both. I did that with the
Ram. took 3 weeks but he made it. I really didn't think he was going to
live he was old. He lived another year and a half!

I would not mix anything with PP though. If you are still thinking of
trying that. I used Ingrid's sugestion on th estock solution and it
worked well for me.

The fish with the fungus (cotton fluff) on his snout seems to have
suffered
a relapse. The first time I applied the Pimafix it really knocked it back.
But know it seems to be returning. I gave him another dose today, so we'll
see what happens. I might try the Melafix and Pimafix together if he does
not completely heal.

If I decide to try another treatment, I'll run carbon for a few days
first.

I looked at the Jungle fungus treatment today, ingredients were Salt,
Potassium Chromate and Furlan? Sounds a lot like Salt and PP.
