We [water gardeners] have no interest in DEnitrification. Nitrification,
ammonia - nitrite - nitrate, is vitally important to anybody who keeps
fish. Denitrification (nitrate - O2 + N2) is not important (or even
desired) for anyone keeping plants and fish together, because plants need
nitrate.
