![]() "Marc Levenson" wrote in message . com... Since the LR is only 4 hours away, are you going to get it or have it delivered? If you are getting it, take a container or two with sal****er so you can keep the rock submerged. If it arrives shipped, hopefully it has been wrapped in wet newspaper and bagged. Assuming the weather in your area is still slightly reasonable, the LR should be fine. I would test the Ammonia Nitrite and Nitrate in your tank before you add the rock. When the rock arrives (assuming it is delivered), open it up and smell it. If it smells clean and fresh / salty, it is not going to cycle much. Put it in the tank as is. (Be sure to look for any sponges on the rock. If it was out in the air, those will die and add ammonia to your tank.) If you've not already added dead shrimp to your tank, I wouldn't worry about it. Once the rock is in the tank, be sure to test your water daily, documenting the numbers so you can chart the Ammonia spike, and subsequent Nitrite and later Nitrate readings. You can't change NO (Normal Output) lighting to any other type of higher output lighting without changing the ballast. Marc Thank you Marc |
