hi,

since two weeks now, I've been using a carboplus in my 100 gallon tank.
Unlike some others, I very happy with it, and my plants even more!

Problem is, my tank is fairly big (100gallon).

I've been thinking about tweaking/optimizing this little piece of

equipment:

----are the bubles that are formed all CO2 (or at least the main part of
that)---?????

If so: I would like to put the carbon plate in an old eheim2213 canister
filter, that operates than only is an CO2 reactor.
This way: all bubbles will be mixed better. The exhaust of the filter

can
be
brought as low as the gravel of my tank, in order to not lose CO2 there.

What do you guys think about this solution?

I suppose it would work if you could find a way to get the necessary wires
to the plate. Am I right in thinking that the plate basically dissolves

and
leaves a pile of residue in the tank beneath it? If so you'd probably want
to pack some fine filter wool on top of the plate in your eheim in order

to
catch the residue other wise it would just get blown all over the tank.

Also
I would think you'd need to find a way to prefilter the input to the Eheim
in order to keep the bigger chunks of gunk out of it & away from the

plate.

I.
